Cannot place pattos

Im blaxe_123 i was making a farm and wanted to plant the pattatos but i couldnt place patatos on certain blocks i tried replacing the block didnt work nothing worked but whats extra weird that on some of the blocks i could place them so its like certain blocks were already occupied but they weren't

because i didnt see anything on them
