Can't give items to the badger on laptop

Everytime I try to give the badger my items after finishing a quest, it doesn't work. I've tried clicking and dragging, control clicking, and plugging in a mouse to use that, but nothing's worked. I play on a laptop and I thought maybe that was part of the problem, but other laptop users say they don't have an issue with it. Someone suggested my connection was bad or that I had a bug.
