Cant vault at all except on Blight Blocks

Mostly as the title says whenever I try to vault it just holds the spear in the ready position. So far since upgrading to the 1.20.1 version ive only been able to vault on blocks from the blighted badlands biome. It near instantly readies the spear and doesnt slow me down like usual. But, also doesnt let my vault at all.
