Caught scarabs disappear

After the new update I caught a couple scarabs in capture nets but once I tried to released them in my realm (in a 6x7 closed room), no scarabs came out of either of the nets. I've tried right-clicking around with a nametag so I don't think they're invisible, I think they just disappeared.
