Crabs won't move down on large buildings/walls

When having a crab near a large wall (In my case a building of 16 block height), a crab may walk up on said wall. However, once at the top they no longer seem to walk down.

Even when tempted with kelp will crabs not move back down to breed (Given that sand/mud borrows are at the bottom of the wall).

They are effectively stuck.
