Event key not spawning ( ? ) from crate and dragon, despite effects and sound triggering.

Around day two or maybe three of the event, me, somewerty and either onlypenguin or meowcraft were hunting in a group for event keys and drops. We managed to get a few keys that day, but one of the keys that should have spawned didnt. I hit a jade dragonturtle and despite the effects and note sound triggering, a key didnt come out. This was in a clear enough area so i know we didnt miss it, and the closest player to me was somewerty, who was just catching up. They heared the sound effect but we confirmed nothing came out.
I did not report this bug since it seemed like others were having this issue and it had already been reported- since I managed to find a key again around an hour later, I didnt ask for a replacement since it wasnt that big of an issue to me.

Second time just happened around 10pm - 2/18/24 Pacific standard if that matters.
While hunting alone after splitting off from somewerty to let them loot a blight biome at the world border East, I found a few dragons and a crate. the crate did the effect and sound, but all i got were three envelopes/tokens. I asked GingerM if it was a good idea to send a report now and they adimently agreed. I didnt want to cause issues or sound like i was crying wolf- since my track record half of every event OR ever has i somehow have some weird issue or bug ( missing items, i find some exploit or weird mechanic, or some other nonsense happens ). If the key IS replacable i appreciate it but understand if its a no this time around. Not the end of the world if it cant be. I hope other people HAVE reported this bug so theres maybe evidence of it existing and i dont seem crazy pff.

Btw, will say the event system how it is now- theres controversy with nerfs but im happy with things as they are- takes some grinding but its been fair and being ive found a key from several hours of farming most days of the event, that seems fair enough- tho i know circumstances and time management, not everyone is like me- but im happy with the event how its gone, just wanted to say that. Idk if spring will be just like this but i kinda hope it stays the same.
