Infinite lives in Marauder Boss Fight

My name in Minecraft is Not_Big_Surprise and I believe this happened either last week or the week before. I had initially gone into the boss fight with another person who I forgot the name of and this was in the Purple Spire. Both of us had an extremely laggy experience. Since we had both used ender pearls to get to the top, we had no extra lives. At some point in the fight, I believe he left and I was left alone to fight while it being very laggy. I started dying as it was my first time, but I had just kept respawning with no message appearing. The video is linked below.
