Invisible items and chests

On the new update that added wisp promo, something made it so lots of vanilla items can't be seen in my inventory and chests are invisible. I tried playing with no mods, no resource packs, just vanilla Minecraft and it still doesn't show. I'm not sure if it's an OR issue or a me issue but everything works fine on singleplayer.
