invisible scarab (and echo fork issue)

so I was looting a desert piramid (the Labyrinth part to be exact) and I noticed that I couldn't see the scarabs anymore, only the little 2d scarabs that crawl alll over my screen. Now as yopu can imagine that makes killing them a little hard. and ontop of being invisible echo forks don't seem to work on them, so I couldn't even get them outlined
