Never died while fighting marauder

I had a very bugged fight against the marauder. After my teammate died I knew I couldn’t beat him but somehow whenever I had taken enough damage to die, I was teleported back to the front door in the arena. So after quite a while of fighting, all of my armor broke but I eventually killed him and got the reward. But it didn’t feel like a reward, it took a long time to get the armor I had and now it’s gone. What do I do?
