Not entirely sure if you can consider this a bug or not but it's definitely a problem and i was told to report this anyway
Apparently once the game finishes loading the resource pack and the progress bar fades away, the game freezes for around 2 minutes and crashes the game with the exit code of "-805306369" which you'd usually get if you ran out of memory.
What i find very odd is:
The game freezes only around 1.5 GB usage of RAM, which is far less than what i allocated and what my PC has available and...this never happened to me until the guide boxes around the spawn got introduced.
My failed attempts on fixing this issue were the following:
Redownloaded Minecraft
Allocated the memory up to 4 or even 5 gb
Checked if the launcher itself is running the 64-bit java version
Updated Java
Installed optimizer mods, such as optfine, optifabric and sodium
Turned the graphic settings to lowest
Checked what processes eat up my memory, the game wouldn't run even if there's 50% memory free
Switched from win 11 to win 7
Checked if the harddisk where my system is situated had enough space left
Used the vanilla MC version (That's the first thing i did before this situation forced me to use modded client)
Tried different versions of Minecraft (from 1.19.2 up to 1.20.2)
I got convinced that the shader folder itself is related to the issue because my game loaded the pack just fine after getting rid of that folder
i have no idea if the current shader system is the problem or if it uses something else from the pack itself that my PC doesn't like, could be a very detailed texture/model
Personaly i do not mind if this bug doesn't gets fixed, judging by the fact that my laptop can run the resource pack unlike my PC, i'm inclined to the idea that it's a hardware issue
Also i managed to find a workaround by bypassing the resource pack check from the server and manually loading the retail OR resource pack but copy-paste'd the shader folder from an older version, thus allowing me to play on the server, the only problem i've noticed with that is the misplaced backswags
Now i personally do not mind if it doesn't gets fixed at all cause it's an error mostly on the user's end, for not considering upgrading their hardware , even tho...i would really appreciate the effort and kindness for making the server more accessible once again, cause players definitely can get in situations where they spend their holidays away from home and they would want to play on the server from the closest available device (especially if they do not want to lose their task streak!).
If you find this issue worth fixing then i might suggest that the Origins Enhanced addon maybe could have an option to choose between the original and a "lite" version of the resource pack.
Anyways,thanks for reading!
Update: Apparently today in the testing server (during the test involving the realm data block fix) i actually managed to go past the resource pack loading screen and it crashed only past the point of closing the "welcome" screen
