Rejoined and died???

Soo uhm I leave the game at full health at my base I come back and I die 6 hours later :~( I loose everything and nothings their and it gone I am so upset at myself I don't know what I did I lost my netherite enchanted sword my food my tools and my pet I had a totem of returned equip :~(
