Rocket boots stop working after teleporting to a friend

So whenever i teleport to any friend using /tp with rocket boots on they randomly stop working and i have to take them off and on again. Its been happening for a few weeks now, not just to me but to my friend too and it can be annoying. It seems to be happening only when friend is in difrent world or realm.
