unable to duplicate allays

in vanilla, allays can be duplicated with a cooldown of 5 minutes by giving them an amethyst shard near a jukebox that is playing.
on origin realms, this mechanic does not seem to work at all

can be replicated easily by attempting to duplicate an allay anywhere under any conditions
