When I bought an “Ancient Pickaxe” from auction for 10k I went to use it but it mines slower than a iron pickaxe. and I was wondering if i could get my money back or a new pickaxe. Username: FenWolf12
So basically the Speed is bugged usually the ancient pickaxe was able to instamine deepslate with haste 2, but for some reason a lot of pickaxes only have a mining speed of 9 when they are supposed to have a speed of 74. Weirdly enough the ones with enchants on them are mining slow and the ones without instamine.
First half of video showing how Ancient Picks compare to Legendary picks and netherite picks. Also how it compares to a old Ancient Pick (which I sadly grindstoned by mistake for the 2nd half, but it’s fine…shows how ancient picks now act like a pick without enchantments. I’m not crying. )
2nd bug starts at 8:30 time stamp, how ancient picks work with the grindstone making unlimited exp.
I even tested on a newer legendary pick to make sure my old one wasn’t bugged itself in speed (since I remember back in the day some old tools had speed they shouldn’t have? if I’m not remembering wrong.)

Skip from 2:02- 2:55 (I left it in, because the odds of herobrine showing up last day of April fools, while I’m making a video was wild. He didn’t show up for 4 hours of me trying to get the ancient pick from a mineshaft today let alone all this week, he was silent.)
the ancient pick has efficiency 8 but is somehow slower than my efficiency 5 legendary pick? the one I’m using right now was bought from auction house if that makes any difference

I reported this 14 days ago and I’m still pending D: the heck lol. I even included a video. But yeah ancient pickaxes speed is the same as if it was unenchanted. I don’t think you’ll get your money back but hopefully they fix the rascal because it keeps giving out these slow picks.

I know this bug is very known here but i have just got it and i’m really dissapointed to see that it mines slower then my efficiency 5 pickaxe
