Jungle Update: Goblins and Decor Concepts

(Repost from the Discord)
These guys are cautious creatures. They use poison normally from plants from the jungle and attack from afar guarding their goods, or seeking out to take yours.

A. Spear Goblin: Normally found in a group of 2-3, either in the trees or hiding behind bushes, throwing spears at players with poison on them from afar.

Another take on the spear goblins (having them stacked on top of eachother), I picture them hoping around and their "head"/the mask, tilting side to side. Mask made out of hollow wood/dried plants and painted gold? Since real gold would be too heavy.

B. Loot Goblin: A rare spawning mob that each time you hit it (for a set amount) it will drop loot for the player until it dies or escapes in a puff of smoke. If you give it gold to distract it, then hit it with a weakness potion you have a chance of catching it with a capture net. When tamed after capturing it... If you're not an organized person, giving it an item (or placing it in their backpack) they'll stand by the chest the item you're looking for is located, or sit on it like a cat if possible. Once you take the item out of the storage it'll move to another storage, chests/barrels/pots/etc, that houses the item, repeat. This is just an idea, since they can't interact with storage I assume.

C.Hive Goblin: It's a big goblin/hobgoblin covered in either leaves or fur, it carries a wooden bug nest on its back that houses a hive of golden bugs based off of the Elephant Beetle (was trying to find a jungle bug that looks golden best I could fine.) It sends it's hive after you to do damage with their horns. After hitting the player like a thrown stone, it'll be stunned on the ground for a few seconds until it starts attacking again. Hive Goblins don't fight but runs away letting its bugs do the attacking. If you get too close to them, maybe they hit you with their hands to knock you back.

D. Rogue? Goblin: (Was meant to be a mage, but then I gave them poison smoke bombs.) Bombs cause a smoke screen for a short time, and if you stand in the AOE for too long you'll have a chance of being poisoned.

E: Summoner Goblin (replacing what D should have been) He summons skeletons, Bone Iguanos, He wears a skull of one on his head. (Goblins and Iguanos might not get along). If not summoning skeletons, then maybe have them summon some kind of plant golems and change the skull to a hostile flower. When escaping from combat it summons a mount to avoid an attack. No idea what kind of mount, a golem? A Wild boar? a Capybara? Gullet? Stone creature is a place holder.

F: Goblins live in abandoned jungle temples that double for a Jungle Trail Ruin for archeology below it. Was based off of real-life temples as concept just for visual place holder. Was thinking the ruin blocks could be covered in old dyes that are worn away but still can see the golds and cyan there.

1-2: 1 was inspired by something I found online, so most likely not useable, but I just wanted to show a example of decor. Maybe old ruins artifacts like 1 or goblin made like 2, where they cover them in dye/paint, their way of marking their territory and goods. So everything archeology from their structures will be painted over by the goblins in a messy way.

3: Just thought hanging lights that fades on and off would be cute so little caged fireflies/sprites .

Block/item concepts

1 Hive Goblins have a chance of dropping a hive that can hold up to 5 golden beetles in it (normally only housing 2-3 at first like beehives). When placed on top of a type of block (place holder idea golden block) they are "tamed" and only attack hostile mobs. After one hit on a target, maybe when stunned they heal like axolotls do a little bit before getting up to attack again. To breed maybe a new plant you can find in jungles (be neat to have more green plants vs just custom flowers)

2 Summoner Goblins have a chance to drop its summoning staff but mostly drops a few gold dust. Gold dust can be placed in a crafting table with cyan dye to paint Ruin blocks. (Included a normal block + mossy one)

Camo Goblin (Bloom Goblin?)

1 Camo Goblins like to hide and wait to ambush their pray. During the day they normally wander around and only hide when a player is close by (like how an armadillo is startled)

  1. When it's nighttime they hide on top of "bushes" leaf blocks on the ground. They place 1-2 other closed flower buds by them to hide better. (like spawning flowers that a moobloom does when walking)

2 The flowers (name no idea...) Are open during the day and closed at night. They can be placed on all sides of a leaf block (If possible)

When Hitting a Camo Goblin, a yellow pollan particle shakes off them that delays the players attack (paralyze) for a short moment so they can escape. Or make the player "sneeze" so the screen is shaky for a short moment of time. Whichever stun is possible.

If possible, they could hide in trees instead and parachute down to attack players and climb up trees to hide in the leaves. I really want more flowers that we can place on leaves on all sides or stay 3D in an item frame to do it (but would lose it's open/close animation)
