No Crafting Potions?

Questioning why I am not able to make anything past an awkward potion when it is a mechanic of Minecraft to be able to make potions. Seem to be able to find Potions, but not able to make them? I’ve never seen a modded community server like this remove base functions of the game. Even High Pixel still left in the base game mechanics but added onto them, Please fix this setting or issue and please don’t continue to take away from the game, when most others do there best to add to it.
