Remove/Nerf Thorns durability draining on armor

So I just made a maxed spirit set and went mining for platinium and i got hit by 2 zombie and 2 skeletons and 134 durability gone in seconds. This is literally unplayable imagine a marauder fight and your armor breakes mid battle. So please just nerf it or remove
