Ruby Exchange | Account system

Not a true bank!?
Have you ever visited a bank in the real world or online? I’m going to guess most of us. Most of you probably have some sort of account: A checking account for your purchases, a savings account for your savings, a CD for those sweet dividend rates.
What if we had this in Origin Realms?
Introducing the account system, a new system to be added to the Ruby Exchange!

  • Any player who joins the server will always start with one account: The checking account. The checking account is the account you can currently see in Origin Realms; you know that little ruby count in your HUD. This account will always be the account that you make purchases off of, this account would have a 0% dividend rate. You change which account is your checking account at any time (except for a CD account)

  • The next account you can create is: The savings account. The savings account would be a new account type that encourages players to save some of their rubies for one specific reason: Dividend and Annual rates. At the beginning of every month, your account will be paid a certain % of rubies depending on the number of rubies in that account. This rate is set by the admins and will have a base percentage of 1%. At the end of every year, you will also be paid an annual dividend worth a bonus 5-10%.

  • The final account is for people who just love to save those sweet and shiny rubies, introducing: Certificate of Deposit (CD) Accounts. These accounts are a step above the typical savings account, here is how they work: in return for the revoked ability to withdraw and move rubies from different accounts, you will receive a bonus % of dividend (this would be determined in the development of the feature and the state of the economy) after a certain amount of time, the CD would turn back into a normal account and you will be able to withdraw those beautiful rubies. You can only deposit rubies into these accounts and once you do, you won’t get them back until the time period ends, so it probably should have some sort of disclaimer to point that out before you create and even whenever you make a deposit.

I hope whoever reads this enjoys this suggestion and if the team sees it, maybe they could possibly consider this as a new feature. Maybe in the future, more account types and features could be added too! Thank you for reading.
