Starter Guide

The guides on the website are really helpful - but just coming on and trying to figure out how to get started has still been a bit of a hurtle, and questions in the chat aren’t necessarily answered… so here’s a specific list of issues I’ve encountered.

None of this is to sh*t on the sever, y’all have done an amazing job and really enjoying it.

1) Open worlds don’t have villages, there are no villagers, so there’s no traditional villager based farming. I searched for villages for a few days, lol.

2) Best way to start getting rubies (I found) was to find bone blocks, in desert biomes, bone meal glow berry, sell to lily. I just learned tho that streaks are also quest based and a good way to start.

3) JEI doesn’t show any of the server based additions, so some way to learn more about those items would be cool - or allow them to show up on JEI

4) Get a bow and arrow early on to shoot down crates that float across the realm. I wish I had started this day one.

5) where to get the usual trades. Example: I have really struggled with getting a diamond pickaxe, eggs, or a food source, trader at spawn to trade with for food source would be great. Maybe not require rubies for those just starting up. There may be someone there tho that I have missed - see #6.

6) A map of spawn that shows all traders, or resource providers

7) server oddities that are different from normal. Like… I cannot break slate with an iron pickaxe so the diamonds I have found won’t drop. (perhaps this is a bug and not a server nuance…?)

8) people keep on talking about spires online and haven’t seen info on that on the website guides.
