Sun and Moon Allays

With the addition of allays, it has always been up into the air what their origins may be. From the halo on their head in Origin Realms, to the way they are only found captured in Illager strongholds, to their colors being in blue and yellow orange in Legends.
I had a thought.

What if allays spawned in the Aether, naturally?

They could be separated much like swets and clouds into a Sun and Moon variety, and nothing else much would need to change.
